I've been gone for a couple of weeks. (Missed you!)
Here's where I've been.
It's so important to recharge your culinary reservoir with restaurant visits, chats with chefs, visits to the farm, and…well…trips to Paris to eat in cafés until all hours of the night.
After the Oxford Symposium on Food and Cookery, we headed to Paris to visit one of our favorite cities, show it to our Eiffel Tower–obsessed 3-year-old, and eat amazing things. Oh, and to visit Gerard Mulot several times over and delight in his lovely macarons and cherry clafoutis. The city never disappoints.
My best find was, surprisingly, a bookstore. The Librairie Gourmande ships! I shopped and shopped and gave them the stack to box up and send. I just got my stack of French cookbooks in the mail, including one all about clafoutis. The LG competes with G. Detou for culinary usefulness and inspiration.
Now that I'm back, I have so many food ideas and recently made dinners to share with you. My head is spinning with deliciousness.
