Colors of Winter

Who says that winter produce is boring? Look at these radishes!

I bought the watermelon radishes at the Somerville Winter Market. They look boring from the outside - just white and pale green. Until you cut them open. Then the color explodes. I like to eat them sliced thinly, raw, the biting peppery radish-ness a welcome contrast to the snow outside.
